Do I need a primer when using Marineflex?
- It has excellent adhesion to most substrates and does not normally require a primer unless the substrate is porous or friable.
- Most substrates will only require priming if testing indicates a need or where sealant will be below the waterline after cure.
- Not for use with bitumen
- Avoid exposure to high levels of chlorine
- Do not use with plastics such as; PP, PE, PTFE or other low surface energy materials.
Can Marineflex be used as a structural adhesive?
Yes given its high adhesive strength and movement capabilities.
Is Marineflex UV resistant?
Marineflex is extremely UV stable and can be used internally and externally above and below the waterline.
How much do I need?
You’ll get approximately 5 metres of a 10mm x 5mm bead per cartridge.
How do I clean Marineflex off?
Prior to cure, wipe off using a cloth with a solvent such as acetone.After cure….. elbow grease!
What colours does Marineflex come in?
Black, White and Grey.
Can Marineflex be used in seams?
Yes as long as the seams are not high movement (above a Movement Accommodation Factor (MAF) of +/- 25%)
